About Great Lakes Baptist Temple The Great Lakes Baptist Temple is an independent Baptist church located in Grand Blanc,Michigan a suburb of Flint. Our church is easily accessible from anywhere in the greater Flint area. Our church facilities are located on 10 acres just west of Saginaw Street at 2112 E. Maple Ave. There are more than 15,000 independent Baptist churches in America and at least 10,000 independent Baptist missionaries serving on mission fields worldwide. Every independent Baptist church is an autonomous congregation. We are self- governing and self-supporting. The head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. It is our desire to be a truly New Testament church. At the Great Lakes Baptist Temple, though we have one message-the message of the Lord Jesus Christ, and one ministry-the ministry He has given us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, we presently help support 167 foreign missionaries,most of whom serve through the Baptist Bible Fellowship International, 2 Bible colleges, the Michigan Baptist Bible Fellowship, Lighthouse Children's Home, and various new churches. Among our missionary family are some of our very own who are serving on the foreign and home fields. These include: Tony & Joy Anzalone in Ecuador, Richard & Linda Fulton in Ireland, Michelle Harrison in Iceland, Sabrina Shangle in Ireland, & Jason & Paula Terrian in Connecticut. |
